Good customer question.

Placed our order today. Curious, are there any known adverse reactions of other foods with this product?

Dear NEJ,
The only “adverse” reaction that you will see is that if you have produce that you WANT to ripen more before you eat it, the E.G.G. will slow that process significantly. In a case where you do have produce you want to ripen further, it should be done on the counter before consumption or storage. If it must be stored in the refrigerator while ripening, wrap it in saran wrap or store it in a glass or metal container. This will allow the ethylene to work on the ripening produce, without effecting the rest of the refrigerator. Ethylene penetrates virtually any plastic freely, except Saran (PVDC).

There will be no adverse effect on any other foods. Remember that the E.G.G. is ADDING NOTHING to your refrigerator. It is removing something that should not be there. It will also absorb odors, reducing the cross flavoring of some strong smelling foods.

Thank you for your purchase and I hope that you enjoy the benefits of the E.G.G.
