Science Fair visuals

The results from a properly conducted aging comparison of produce can yield some pretty dramatic visuals for the science fair. If you get the timing right, you can have the produce for the fair. If perfect timing for the fair is not possible, pictures work pretty well. Here are some examples.

It is the time of year for science fair projects.  The E.G.G. makes an excellent project for all ages.  There are several hypotheses that can be tested using very simple and inexpensive materials.  The results are repeatable and very visual.  We get several inquiries about it every year and have gotten some pretty neat feedback.  This link is a suggested test protocol.

Do not open the packet

We occasionally receive a call about whether the packets inside the eggs need to be opened for use.  The answer is no.  The packet is made of tyvek, a woven polyethylene material that resists water penetration, but allows ethylene to pass through.  We neglected to mention this in packaging material.  The next version will.
